Path two · The build

The capabilities vendors do not ship. Built in your environment, with a person approving anything that matters.

Standardized workflows increasingly have products. We map what to buy, then build what remains. Cross-system orchestration, firm intelligence, and the governance layer over all of it. You own the code and the data path.

What we build

Six capability areas, not a product catalog. Each engagement is scoped from your Opportunity Map, a review of your workflows that shows where AI helps and where you should just buy software. Every capability ships with a point where a person approves the work.

01

AI systems orchestration

Your CRM, portfolio system, custodian data, and Excel working as one workflow instead of five swivel-chair steps. Approval gates and audit trails by default. This is the core build for mixed stacks the platform vendors do not serve.

02

Firm intelligence and exception command

One prioritized queue across portfolio exceptions, unresolved client promises, RMD deadlines, NIGO items, billing discrepancies, and compliance dates. Each item carries evidence, an owner, a deadline, and an approval status.

03

Advice-to-action orchestration

A planning or tax recommendation reconciled against custodian, CRM, and household data, then tracked through advisor review, client communication, CPA coordination, and custodian action until it is completed or declined.

04

AI governance and assurance

An inventory of every AI tool and agent in the firm, vendor-risk documentation, approval levels, output testing, and exam-ready evidence. Wraps the tools you buy and the systems we build.

Governance and assurance →
05

AI-ready data layer

A reliable record of people, households, entities, accounts, beneficiaries, restrictions, and where each piece of data came from. Unglamorous, and everything above depends on it. For most firms it is the first thing we build.

06

Vendor selection and integration

Where a product already solves it, we say buy. Then we wire it into your stack, make sure a person approves anything sensitive before it happens, and fold it into the governance layer so it holds up in an exam.

How the build runs

Sequenced across 7, 30, and 90 days. Scoped from your map. We do not build anything on a guess.

01

Map

The Opportunity Map marks every finding buy, integrate, build, or govern. We only build what should not be bought off the shelf.

02

Build

Systems in your environment, with a person approving anything that matters: approval steps, audit trails, and a named person who releases the work. You own the code and the data path.

03

Operate

Implementation examples

Systems we have shipped first

These are four we have built more than once. Yours will not look exactly like any of them.

Concrete versions of the capabilities above. For each one there is an honest note on when an off-the-shelf product is the better answer, because sometimes it is.

01

Portfolio ops prep engine

Custodian file in. Recon, cash/RMD, constraints, tax lots. Draft Trade Order list out. Named human releases before anything moves. Works beside your rebalancer, portfolio system, or Excel.

Gate

Human release on every trade list

When to buy instead · Your rebalancer already computes drift and proposals. Keep it. We build the recon, cash, constraint, and Excel work around it that stops at its edges.

02

New-account / NIGO pipeline

Referral → CRM → paperwork → DocuSign → billing, with an AI pre-submission checklist that flags missing signatures and beneficiaries before they become rework.

Gate

Human approval before custodian submit

When to buy instead · Onboarding vendors now ship this for standardized setups on major custodians. If yours fits, buy it and we make sure it is supervised. We build for mixed stacks and firm-specific exceptions.

03

Nightly exception digest

Cross-system pull for mixed stacks (CRM + PM + custodian). Drift, cash, silence, and upcoming RMDs in one plain-English email the principal actually reads.

Gate

Digest only. No autonomous client contact.

When to buy instead · Platform AI surfaces exceptions inside a single platform well. We build when the exceptions that matter live across systems that do not talk to each other.

04

Billing reconciliation narrative

The fee math is calculated, not generated, so it stays in code or a spreadsheet. AI explains the exceptions and writes the record examiners ask for.

Gate

Human review before every invoice

When to buy instead · Billing automation products reconcile standard fee setups. We build when your fee schedules, households, and exceptions do not fit their templates.

Ongoing relationship

Continuous AI Innovation Partner

Ongoing roadmap, governance, vendor diligence, output quality testing, and new capabilities as your firm and the tools evolve.

A person approves anything that matters

Non-negotiables

A person approves it before it goes anywhere

Trade lists, client-facing drafts, and custodian submissions wait for a named person. Advisors will not buy unsupervised AI on life savings.

You own what we build

No multi-tenant login. No subscription lock-in. The systems run in your stack, on your accounts, under your control.

Vendor-neutral by design

If a product already solves it for your stack, we tell you to buy it. We take no referral fees, so the call is honest.

Scope a build from your map

Thirty minutes to decide whether a build is the right next step for your firm.

Thirty minutes with the person who would run the work, not a sales development rep. Tell us about your firm and we will come back with a time, plus an honest read on whether we are the right people for what you need.

This goes to one inbox and gets a real reply. We do not add you to a sequence, and we do not sell or share what you send. Nothing here asks about your clients, and how we protect it is written out in specifics. Not legal, investment, or compliance advice.
